HCM City - Vietnam - March 14th - 16th 2007
My trip to HCM City was good and pretty productive. Unfortunately all of the hotel room in the city were fully booked so i ended up staying in a local hotel in district 1. The hotel was small but ok, basic necessities only. However it was in a great location and only to 2-3 mins to get to any of the large hotels, restaurants, etc. The hotel was recommended by Donn, who currently lives and works in VN. Overall VN is really going off, business is booming and things are really moving forward the country.
The trip went well. I was able to meet up with Donn and George at Alive Studio which was great and looks like they are really growing things - i really like the flat screen monitors for all of the gd's - i will have to set up for my team when i get back to bkk. Afterwards, i meet up with them at a local bar which is hands down one of the coolest bars in SEA. I have not seen anything like it anywhere and it is a real local spot not big, just enough for about 20 people to hang out comfortably. I wish i had brought my camera as they had some amazing fish tanks - that included everything from live sea turtles, crocodiles, puffer fish, you name it they had it.
After drinks we went to a great restaurant called Camargue, which is one of the nicest restaurants in the city. It has outside dining and International Cuisine with French Chef and very near the Hyatt.
